Family Loan Program

Family Loan Program

The program is based on the premise that life’s unpredictable challenges like repeated car break-downs or child care difficulties can easily plunge a family living on a marginal family income into crisis and unemployment.  Several financial institutions recognizing that no credit and bad credit prevent hardworking individuals access to small loans, created a revolving loan fund pool to help working families remain employed.  The program has a default rate of under 5% since inception and a 2% default rate during the last program year.

All loans must be repaid within two years.

I wanted to thank everyone that made it possible for me to have a loan to purchase my car. I know I didn’t have any credit and I must have seemed like a risk, but as you can see it all worked out. My loan is all paid off and now I own my car. Plus, I was able to keep my job and life just keeps getting better. Thanks!” – Loan Participant
