NORWESCAP Child and Family Resource Services (CFRS), the New Jersey State designated Resource and Referral Agency for Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon Counties, announces classes to attain the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential are being offered beginning in October at each of our tri-county offices. This state and nationally-recognized CDA credential allows Licensed Child Care Center staff to become group teachers and also increases the knowledge base and professionalism of State Registered Family Child Care providers. NORWESCAP Child & Family Resource Services is offering a free training series for infant and toddler caregivers through NJ First Steps Initiative. This new training series is designed for infant and toddler caregivers working in licensed child care centers or registered family child care homes. Some topics covered during the series include temperament, developing relationships with families, building better brains, respectful care and planning for development of young children. For Immediate Release: Avon Breast Health Outreach Program Awards Grant for Breast Cancer Awareness Program to NORWESCAP, Inc.
The Avon Breast Health Outreach Program has awarded a $20,000 one-year grant to the Northwest New Jersey Community Action Program (NORWESCAP) to increase awareness of the life-saving benefits of early detection of breast cancer. It is the second year that the program has received funding from the Avon Foundation for Women to support its work on this important health issue, and in recognition of the program’s excellence.
