NORWESCAP Child & Family Resource Services is offering a free training series for infant and toddler caregivers through NJ First Steps Initiative.  This new training series is designed for infant and toddler caregivers working in licensed child care centers or registered family child care homes.  Some topics covered during the series include temperament, developing relationships with families, building better brains, respectful care and planning for development of young children.  The thirty hour training series will be held on Thursdays beginning on September 6 and running every week through October 8.  The training series will be held at NORWESCAP Child & … Continue reading →

The Avon Breast Health Outreach Program has awarded a $20,000 one-year grant to the Northwest New Jersey Community Action Program (NORWESCAP) to increase awareness of the life-saving benefits of early detection of breast cancer. It is the second year that the program has received funding from the Avon Foundation for Women to support its work on this important health issue, and in recognition of the program’s excellence.
