Board Member Spotlight

Thomas P. Fitzgerald, AIA – Owner Fitzgerald Architecture Studio, LLC

In 2001, Tom opened Fitzgerald Architecture Studio in High Bridge, NJ; a boutique style architecture firm with a broad range of services.

Restoring client's homes and businesses after an unexpected disaster became standard in the studio due to our extensive knowledge of the NJ Rehabilitation Subcode which led to FAS-DRS (Disaster Restoration Services).

Since its launch in 2006, FAS-DRS became the area's leader in disaster restoration services with the primary objective to get families back into their homes quickly after disaster strikes while reducing insurance expenses by 30-40%.

DRS has since expanded its services to New York and Pennsylvania operating out of Buffalo, NY and Harrisbug, PA. Tom has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from NYIT and continues to be an active member in the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), International Code Council (ICC) and is a licensed Building Inspector in NJ.

Community is of great importance to Tom, as he is Treasurer for the High Bridge Business Association & a board member of Northwest New Jersey Community Action Program (NORWESCAP). NORWESCAP's working board is structured in such a way that it allows him to get an intimate understanding of the challenges their clients are faced with.

Tom's involvement with NORWESCAP is extremely fulfilling; he knows he is working towards positive change for the community.
